Would you like a mentor? (Take 2)

Liz, You've experienced a slip, now is the time to learn from it and keep going. Don't be too hard on yourself. This new skill isn't an easy one to learn but we'll walk beside you as you keep practicing. Take some time to look back on what led to your slip and have a plan that helps you get around this triggers next time. What could you have done differently? What alternative did you have in place to keep you from picking up and lighting that cigarette? Keep going! Danielle __________________________ The SSC Support Team

Ron, Have you disabled your pop-up blockers? Lowered your security settings to the default level? If you're having trouble with the IM, please contact us through the feedback section and we will help you troubleshoot from there. Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

The idea of this thread is to bring people here together - either 2 like-minded 'young' quitters struggling or a 'younger' quitter seeking the advice of an 'older' one. This can be done in various ways, Email or IM for example. The idea is to give people extra support. If you need it - use it! Post here if you woulds like to be a Mentor or would like to talk to one. Check this post for available mentors as well! Today is probably a landmark in that as mentor to Ericon, she has decided that she no longer needs a helping hand in her quit. I know that she will win, although perhaps we will see less of her from now on. It is strange, sad because it is like losing a friend in a way, but happy because I know that she is going to be successful. Now, are there any newer quitters prepared to take on Mr Ed as a Mentor? I can operate via IM or just plain email - up to you Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 303 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,113 Amount Saved: 2272.5 Life Gained: Days: 50 Hrs: 15 Mins: 26 Seconds: 49

Hi Windy, The IM is the preferred way of communicating, but my 'mentee' (as she calls herself) and I chose to communicate via email. It's down to the individuals. There is a list on this thread of available Mentors and those wanting a Mentor; my view is that if you want a Mentor, then choose somebody from the current list and post your choice here.
