Tell Me Yours

1. I don't have funny tingles in my left leg (that must mean it will have to be amputated soon!) 2. I don't panic over not being able to breathe - because BOY can I breathe! 3. I can spend money on little treats for my kids - guilt-free, because I don't waste a ton of the stuff clogging up my lungs. 4. I can do ANYTHING. I just got a new job. The interview was a doddle compared to normal because I am strong, I can do anything and I can cope with ANY work situation because I don't have to worry about smoke breaks. (You do know it's banned here in Scotland - right?!) 5. I figure I have 3 more hours a day, every day. That means almost an extra day a week. That's like a day's holiday every week for the rest of my life. 1o95 extra hours a year. (Not too sure what I'm doing with them yet but, they must be there some place.) 6. I can use public transport, plains, trains the works without worrying about the length of the journey. 7. I can go and stay with non-smoking friends and family without worrying about just how pathetic I'll look leaving their houses as often as I used to have to to get my fix. Brilliant! :) 1. I smell better. 2. My skin is clearer. 3. Others aren't repulsed by the smell of stale smoke anymore! (Gotta work on the weight now---it's getting to me....) :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 162 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,148 Amount Saved: $1296 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 6 Mins: 12 Seconds: 24

My hands and feet are not cold anymore from a lack of circulation. I can work out twice as hard now. I smell good. My hair smells good. My car smells good. My garage no longer smells like smoke. I never have to worry about my breath smelling. Kisses are sooooooooooooo much sweeter. My children are so very proud of my husband and I. I am no longer paying ridiculous prices to slowly kill myself. My relationship with Christ is stronger now that I am not wasting my time serving an addiction to nicotine. I feel soooooooooo much healthier. I get so excited to tell my doctor I no longer smoke or when people ask to tell them how long I've been 'quit'. And I love encouraging others in their quit journey. When I look at my children, I have more peace inside knowing that I am doing everything I can to stay around for them. My biggest benefit.... I don't feel stupid anymore. I would stand outside during the day smoking and coughing, coughing, coughing. Puff, choke, puff choke choke. People passing by would stare at me for coughing that hard and that long, puffing on a cigarette. Some would just shake their heads walking by. I always felt so utterly stupid for doing that.
