I agree, try Chantix. I was a 1.5 pack a day smoker, but no longer. I talked to my Dr. about Chantix and thought I'd give it a try. WOW--what a life saver. You take it while your smoking for the first week or so and by the time you quit you're not even wanting a cig. I didn't have any problem with what to do with my hands-it's like I never smoked. My last smoke was at 9:30PM on 2/11/07 and I'm here to tell you--CHANTIX WORKS!!!! Be prepared, it can also give you a false sense of accomplishment. I tried talking myself into a cig within three days of my quit, but I figured out what I was doing to myself. It was like, Hey, I've only quit a few days ago, what am I trying to do?
Keep coming back to this site, there are so many people who will give you the support you need. We're all pulling for you and if one doesn't work, keep trying. I am living proof that Chantix works.
Good Luck! Keep the Quit!!
