Forget the patches and go cold turkey. The faster you get that poison out of your system the faster you will be free from the nicotine addiction. I went the first two days thinking I had a patch on but at the end of the day I realized that the patch had fallen off each day. Since I had made it the first two days thinking that I had a patch on, that made me think that it must be mind over matter and that I could do the rest of the quit without a patch. And the rest is history. Tilly....you can probably make it,,,,but remember.....your quit is your number ONE priority at this point! Do NOT let the price of one pack of patches get you in a pickle!! Put the cost of patches in proper perspective.....they cost me somewhere around $300 for patches when I quit....that really wasn't any higher than the cost of smokes for that period of time...probably less! and look what the quit meter has racked up.....was it a good investment??? You answer that Katy Kickin' ASH for......Five years, one month, four days, 23 minutes and 41 seconds. 74440 cigarettes not smoked, saving $10,607.79. Life saved: 36 weeks, 6 days, 11 hours, 20 minutes.
