Hi Bullseye, Don't be scared. Once you actually get yourself into this quit, fear is something that doesn't crop up. I'm using zyban as well, and it seems to be working for me. I feel better this time round. I smoked 25-30 a day for 23 years and I too want to see my grandchildren! So no more for me. Its good your hubby doesn't smoke, that could really help you as well. Hang in there girl, you can do this. We're here for you, Cheers, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/13/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 290 Amount Saved: $81 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 2 Mins: 9 Seconds: 14

It is scary, but not as scary as dying. I was a pack a day smoker for 26 years and always thought "I can't do this", "now's not the time", "after I lose some weight", etc. This time was different. I really dug down deep inside myself to find out if I tryly wanted to quit more than continue smoking. Once I decided YES, I was able to go forward with much more strength and determination than ever before. I also know that I will never ever let my guard down. I will live 1 day at a time with this addiction and look toward the future. Stay strong - stay quit!!
