Manny, You REALLY must want to quit more than you want to smoke. We all went though the hard time where YES! we wanted to smoke, but it goes away... some days are worse than others. And while it sucks, it can be done! You have fought hard for the days you have - are you willing to throw that all away because you don't "feel" like fighting the good fight anymore? The discomfort you suffer from coming off nicotine is nothing compared to the ravages of cancer. Give that some thought next time you think you need to give up and go to the store. This is the best thing you will do in your life for your health. If you have no where to go and nothing to do...I suggest to just go to bed. Or get real busy on something! Whatever you don't go buy any. Even if you don't smoke any or just one...If you do it once you'll do it again. And if they are they they will get smoked and you know it. It's been 11 days! That is great. Just do something, but don't waste you time or money on smokes. Heck make a list of what else you could buy with $4.00! Go to a department store or your favorite sporting goods or hardware store (wherever you like to shop) and find everything you could buy for the price of a pack of smokes. Make a list...then ask yourself... Manny, Days 11 and 12 were the worst days of my quit. I can still remember every single detail of those days and unfortunately, so can my husband. But the clouds lifted during the next few days. I do hope you can hang in there. I know it is very hard, but you will be so glad you did. Manny, What us triggering this? Get active and keep busy! Throw yourself into something and don't' go to the store. You have 11 days under you and you can push forward. If you can't get busy then do the opposite and relax. Hot shower and a nap will refresh you. Take it easy on yourself and use those coping mechanisms :) Josie ____________________ The SSC Support Team.
