I quit - first attempt, cold turkey, and those who went before me shared their stories, their coping skills that worked (and some that didn't) and I just found my way due to their grace and generosity...
So my advice: IF your desire to quit is stronger than your desire to light up - you are ready for your forever quit, friend.
Don't attempt it - do it! One moment at a time, we are all doing it.
