I am on day two / cold turkey

17 years ago 0 1 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I just quit two days ago and I am actually having an easier time of this go around. I think it is because I have a cold / flu which is pretty bad. I have been wanting to quit for a while. Last time I quit was for the first two months of 2006. I don't know why I ever started again but I felt worse after starting again last time than ever. This is my fifth attempt in 20 years and I really want to be successful/

That's a great time to quit. Last year when I quit for a month, it was because I had severe bronchitis. But, last year I let excuses suck me back into smoking. Hang in there and think of how much better you're going to feel. This is the first winter that I haven't been sick with bronchitis. I'm really starting to like it!!@ My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 806 Amount Saved: $208 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 1 Mins: 48 Seconds: 47

Wow - JFK - Reading your post I could have written it myself. I had a really bad cold/flu thing and didn't want to smoke (and had made my mind up I was going to quit) so decided that that was a good time to put 'em down. Did it cold turkey, no slips and you can do this too! Stay close to this site, and post often... the old posts kept me strong, grounded and focused in my quit - make sure to spend some time with them.
