Hi Everyone - Glad to hear that you are all hanging in there...it seems that we all struggle through tough days...those stupid cravings are not done messing with us...but the main point is that we ARE getting through this one day at a time! I kept myself busy this weekend which helped. My goal for this week is to start/activate my exercise plan -- I've got to start getting more exercise in order to trigger my metabolism and start working off some of this weight! I think April is going to be a good new month for all of us! LOL I am already blonde. I just go with different streaks of blonde. Maybe they are called low lights and highlights. I'm also letting it grow out too. I have always kept it short. I'm glad you mom is doing better..And I'm glad you didnt cave. That had to be alot of stress. My cravings are really strong tonight. I think because it rained all day and I'm stuck in the house. Hubby came home from work and said we were going to walmart. So I get my face made up and change clothes and he decides it might be to slippery for me outside  The grandkids are with their dad this weekend so I have alot of time on my hands. It feels good to have some me time. Stay strong. You're doing great. I'm waiting for an easy day to come along though. Maybe tomorrow????? Hey Porky, I'm here, I'm here. LOL I've just been so busy that I haven't been able to post as much as I want to and I miss it. My mom is getting much better now and I'll be able to hang out more. Congratulations on your 40th day!!! Girl, can you believe that? I know it's been hard but can you believe our meters? It seems like me, you, and Changing all three started not long ago at all. 40 Days just sounds like a long time. ha ha ha So, why are we still craving? Hmmm? My craves aren't nearly as bad as they were though. The did come back pretty strong after my 30 day mark but now, they come and go with some being pretty strong and others being really mild. So, it does get better. You will do so much better when you're able to get out more and do more things. I can't wait and I know you can't. Hey, that hair highlighting idea is a good one. I have a hard time thinking up rewards and mine are always so, so simple. That's just how I am. I'm definitely not your shopper type of gal. But with summer coming on, highlighting my hair sounds pretty good. I've been wanting to do that for a long time. The three of us should go blonde!!! LOL I hope you're having a great weekend. You too Changing!! I know you're around here somewhere. LOL Hugs and Stay Strong, Tutti My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,881 Amount Saved: $147.19 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 10 Mins: 12 Seconds: 14

Thank you Danielle. I didn't want to toot my own horn cause every day I fear I may cave. My reward was yesterday. I took my grandaughter shopping at the mall and for the first time I didn't have to "rush" back to the car to grab a smoke. I got to dress her like a princess and the smile on her face was my reward. Rewards come in many different ways. Maybe on my 45th day I will have my hair highlighted :) Terri My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 40 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,834 Amount Saved: $480 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 17 Mins: 39 Seconds: 31

Hi Bear You are probably right I should be more assertive. But I'm not. He does smoke outside sometimes. We are both trying to roll with the many changes that my quit have made. We smoked together for well over 30 years and thats a lot of habits to change. But we will get there either together or apart---hahahaha Thanks I will check out tai chi. Theres not a whole lot I can do for 4 more weeks. I can't risk hurting my back again. I'm not allowed to much of nothing :( Congrats on 10 days..Awesome. Mine is 40 and I'm very proud :) Tutti and Changing--Where are you guys???? Good luck to everyone.. Hey Porky Kick your old mans ass out the back door to smoke. He does,nt sound very supportive to me.Does he not understand how important this is to you.Sounds to me like you,ve got to be a little more assertive , this is YOUR HEALTH he,s messing with.Try doing a little tai chi there are lots of sites on the internet that will explain what it,s all about. It will help you recup and these are very easy exersises to do and there not physically demanding. No need to worry. I have had my 4 year old grandaughter for the last two days. We have been shopping today. More for the walk than the shopping but she didn't know that. We were getting dressed to go and she hugged me and said my hair smelled good. I felt so proud. Actually I thought the hair spray was alittle strong ;p But I would rather smell like hairspray than smoke... How are you doing today? I have good days and bad days. You know I read a post where someone smoked and I was alittle jealous :gasp: Some days its just really hard isnt it? Stay strong.
