Amount 'Saved'

Apparently, I have "saved" 390 so far. I do little treats as regular rewards. Like I LOVE glossy magazines - so now I can buy one whenever I fancy for way less than the cost of a packet so I get a treat guilt-free. Wonder what I'll have saved by July? Because in july, my daughter and I will be on a beach in Tunisia toasting mother's smoke-free stauts, guilt-free because it cost less than I'd have spent on the cigs in the same time. According to my meter I have 'saved' 2,700 (over $5000). According to my bank statement, I have saved nothing. However, I have invested in a few rewards: 2 portable TVs 200 1 Digital TV receiver 40 Furniture 900 1 PC 600 Restocking garden with plants etc 500 Weekend break 400 TOTAL 2,640 Not bad, considering that in the previous year I literally set fire to that amount of money! Mr Ed :) What are your rewards so far? Yep, we all used to set our money on fire - and in the process were killing ourselves little by little. I'm happy to see you have done some terrific things with your cash Mr. Ed. Me & hubby have not really bought too much, but have rewarded with nice things along the way, a new pair of jeans here, new parfum, new system board for our PC (and we fixed it ourselves without shotting each other!) We have take in aa movie and dinner and never felt guitly about it at all. I asked my husband what he saved. Okay, here's the deal, there's the money from not smoking, and there's the money for the breathers that he carries everywhere. He saved money by not smoking, AND money from not using the breathers which is $160.00 a month. The guy is making out like crazy! I went to a trade show over the week end and got new dog grooming shears. I have had my eye on these shears for almost two years and couldn't afford them. Without cigs it was easy. It cost 2 1/2 cartons.
