Sparky (Sparky? We have 2 Sparky's now! And I think Sparky is a great name to use, because our other Sparky is doing soooo wonderfully well on her quit!!!! Let's hope it's catching.) Welcome to SSC, Sparky. I'm Jan and I'm quitting tomorrow as well. I've tried several times before and have just finished reading Allen Carr's book. I'll be using NRT's and have been preparing for tomorrow for a while now. I understand your being apprehensive, but you'll get so much support and advice here, it makes you feel like you belong. New quitters, seasoned quitters, we're all in this boat together. Lots of great ideas to help you through, and make sure you post often, the support is great. Wishing lots of luck for tomorrow and know you are NOT alone. All the best to you, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Welcome Sparky and Misty you have found a wonderful source of information and help. Must addmit I am little caught off guard with another "Sparky" on this site. It is a good name. Mine is derived from my first dog. He was very special to me. Good luck on your quit. It can be done. I don't come on very often these days but just wanted to wish you both tons of luck for tomorrow. Just take it 1 day at a time and it can be done, I smoked for 35 years and the longest I ever quit was for 9 months many years ago and look at me now!! These support groups really do make all the difference.
