Hi all... I just found this site, and also just gave up smoking a couple of days ago. Don't know how much I'll use this forum (I'm not real big on groups and clubs), but I think it's a nice idea and I really like the little quit meters. They give you a feeling of accomplishment. congrats on quitting! I am not big on groups either, but this has helped me the last few days....plus my life is so busy that I could not go to a group meeting as they say is so important. I think this is a good option just to keep you going. I have been checking in every day and just reading how others are dealing with it. Come back and check the new posts and it will help keep you on the path. Good luck.. dayone My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/13/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 124 Amount Saved: $24 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 11 Mins: 6 Seconds: 26

Pharaoh13, Hi there and welcome! You have probably found one of the best support sites on the internet... This site is better than an encyclopedia...because...you have actual ex-smokers who will lay it on the line to you of what to expect. So, if you have issues about your cravings, need information about how smoking cessation aids (gum, patches, meds)work, or just need a shoulder to cry or vent to...we are here...and growing by leaps and bounds. I'm Aunt Deb, 56, female, married with grandchildren, 2nd and final Quit for me. (I quit when I was 32 for 10 years and like a fool went back to that vicious Habit Nicodemon :eg:) I wish this site would have been around then. If the going gets tough ...get back here and lean on us. Let us get to know you and you will get to know us. auntdeb ps...read..read..read and post as often as you need to My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 19 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 990 Amount Saved: $90.25 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 17 Mins: 23 Seconds: 14

I'm surprised at how much I like the meter. I couldn't tell you right now exactly what it says, but I have an idea. The big motivator for me is to not have to re-set it. Welcome and good luck.
