Monica... Don't let the addiction take control. You have been fighting the battle and winning. I know a lot of people will say "ok. come back when you are ready" but when I see someone like you... Some one who has fought so hard for every moment of the quit and held on tight, want to give up and walk away I just want to scream! This is a horrible addiction and it will kill you! You have seen what smoking does. How can you possibly allow this to control you any longer? It is your choice and I am by no means judging you, I just want you to think long and hard about what you are throwing away here. YOUR LIFE! We watch our children grow and discover what they CAN do and rejoice with them in their accomplishments. As quitters we do the same. When someone falls, we pick them up, brush them off and help them get going again. This quit road is full of obsticals that get in the way and there won't ever be a good time to quit. There isn't a Good time for anyone. If there were, no one would smoke. You seem to be an intelligent person and you have shown all of us the strength you posses (which is amazing). Do not give up so easily on that person inside that really wants to get away from the addiction. Monica, The first step to quitting smoking is wanting to quit. Us smokers say this all the time. However, are we really ready? If you are then you will have to prepare a strategy to overcome your temptations and cravings. Have you read through our online quit program? If not, please do so. There are 6 stages that will help you achieve your goals. The first step of this program is to assess if you are ready to quit :). Hang in there! There are thousands of people who are quitting smoking everyday. With support from your family, friend and us here within the SSC, you can quit! We look forward to helping you quit smoking. Stay strong, Melanie _______________________________ The SSC Support Team
