Hang on, friend. Ride those craves! Don't fight, ride them. I often noticed that I think more about smoking when trying to resist and fight the craves. Acknowledge them for what they are, laugh at them, and get on with it. You control your quit...and if you strictly adhere to NOPE...you are safe. In addition...Walmart isn't the only place with great savings...prayer helps too! Way to go on 40 days! Another one added because "MY BAD". The waves come and go. Stick to your resolve to be quit. Yes depression, yes raw emotion and move through. Develop all you coping skills and do get physical activity. Being proactive and active will help you through. I will grab the rope and pull, you take steps and climb out! Keep going one step at a time, one day or moment at a time. Penguinm I know this will sound silly... trying a coloring book and crayons. Happy colors and happy picture. You can even hang it on your fridge! This is one heck of a ride. Last week I was on the high road, the week before I was in the thirty day pit, and now it feels like I'm riding the low road again. Up, penguin, get up. OK, I know this is normal and I am quite prepared to ride it out. I'm noticing the pants are getting a little tight, so I guess the chocolate I've been eating is catching up. I was exercising, but now I just don't feel like it. This total lack of motivation is very foreign to me, and hubby is not quite sure how to react to it either. I can't imagine what it would be like quitting together. Being on the low road together just wouldn't be good. Don't have to worry about that though since he's not quit. Throwing up the rope - Can someone haul me out of here!!!! (Before next week - OK, cause it's only Monday) UGGGGHHHH My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/10/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 40 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 817 Amount Saved: $460 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 2 Mins: 4 Seconds: 22
