Although I am in Canada and our Thanksgiving was a month + ago. I am THANKFUL every day. Mostly to be alive :eg: :eg: and more for the fact that I have been able to maintain my quit and that I am finding more and more and more to live for each and every day. I am immensly thankful for this site and the wonderful people who are finding this new life right by my side. CIAO Phillip :8|: and Thank Goodness for PIES! Hi folks. In church this morning was the typical sermon you expect to hear this time of year. What are you thankful for? Well I got to thinking... My gratefulness goes beyond the typical, everyday stuff we often take for granted. I am also thankful for new things in my life. I am thankful to be approaching another holiday season smoke free. I am thankful for the gift of endurance that it has taken to accomplish all I have including but not limited to my quit. I am thankful for the love and the good friends that I have come to know over the last year or so, for they truly make my world a better place. I am thankful for the personal growth and changes that have occured in my life. The self-discovery experience and the person known as "me" that I am getting to know and appreciate for the first time ever. Quitting smoking was not a "cure-all" for what was wrong in my life but it certainly put me on a road that I never imagined traveling. Planning and setting goals can be difficult. Let's not forget that half the joy in accomplishing our goals, is the process and the experience that happens along the way. "The Journey is the Reward." What are you thankful for?
