Today has been really rough. I went for a long walk (3 miles) and it was cold, but came back with icky thoughts. I have not smoked, but I am just in a rotten mood. I know haveing a smoke will not solve anything and beside that I am a non-smoker and we don't smoke. I understand this is part of the process and I just don't like it. I am not going to let the past have it's way with me. I really do not want to smoke; I just want my mind to behave itself. I read in a post the other day and it said something like we have use cigs as a crutch for so long and that we need to learn new coping skills. Well I have a 50 years of using those darn things and I am trying very hard to learn new skills. Thanks, for letting me ramble. Hope everyone is having a nice evening. Sparky, Maybe it's in the air. I've been in a grouchy mood all day myself. It has nothing to do with smoking. Yes, for years we used smoking as a crutch no matter what happened. Don't forget though, even when we smoked, we had bad days. Some days are just like that. As you progress through the quit, you will develop coping skills for situations. Now instead of smoking I do a lot of different things to get through times that are not exactly good. Hang in there!
