Well, MomMom suggested that we take a look back at our posts from early on in our Quit so that what's I did. After reading my post from Day 3, I have to say that I feel like wearing one of those big plastic noses with the attached glasses and mustache.
That's okay though. I'll be on Day 50 in just short of 7 hours. One of my fears from Day 3 was this:
And what scares me the most are all of the posts I keep reading from folks as far along in their quit as 20, 30, 40 days and more but they're still feeling this horrible. What's up with that!?!?
Coming up on Day 50, I know that the cravings do still come and go. They come in waves with some being pretty intense while some are like a passing thought. Today, the cravings are a little more intense but one thing I know is that they won't last. I've learned that I'll have some bad days here and there. I have learned that boredom will bring the more intense cravings on.
I think for me, I have to just go with this process of living without cigarettes without impatiently waiting for that One Fine Day when all thoughts or craves will magically be gone from my life. I know that one day, I'll have more of those passing thoughts rather than cravings. Until then, I have to be patient, strong, and just go with the flow.
Keep the Quit,
Tutti
