You mourn as long as you allow it. work on changing that thinking. No allowing any "positive" thinking about smoking. you can't let a thought become a longing for what was and you can't let yourself romanticize what smoking was to you.
loosing this addiction is about like loosing a friend or loved one.....after a spell, you seem to recall only 'nice' things about it...you look back and let it be something that it really wasn't.
look it square on....it's dirty, disgusting and deadly. it will become harder to sit and crave that if you work on your mind set
