Rhonda, Congratulations! Hell & heck week are over! Time for a reward! The reward may also help you with the blues as they aid in lifting mood. Be kind to yourself this week. If you feel like crying, cry. Tired? Sleep. Do whatever it takes to make yourself feel better. Just don't smoke. This is temporary and it will pass. Dear Rhonda, First of all, I would like to say, "Thank You," for your son fighting for our freedom! Being a mother no matter what circumstances are we will always worry. With your situation more so in the worry department. Our prayers and good thoughts are with you. I will pray that your son comes home soon and have many years with love and happy memories to come... Regarding you smoking, Rhonda, please don't. I am quitting this Thursday have relapsed and I am giving it another try and pray that I suceed. Recovering from arson and had many problems so I went back to the demon nic and am so sorry that I did! Guess what, it solved none of my problems and possilby has damaged my throat because it hurts so bad. If this helps let me please share with you. It's mind over matter. When I relapsed I got so sick when I started to smoke again. The physcial addiction left but the emontial is still and always will be with me. Our minds are very strong and we can accomplish any thing if we really want it. Again, I hope this helps you.. So kick that demon to the curb. What I have learned is that I must think differently when a major problem comes my way. Again, smoking did not solve the problems I had to deal with and lost my quit making me feel terrible. When I didn't smoke I was so proud of myself and felt so good. You have 2 weeks under your belt. You've proved to yourself that you can and are doing it. Keep up the wonderful job. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. Hi Rhonda- Take some little catnaps if you can - those were and are still one of my favorite rewards for myself... they add up quickly! Stay in the moment and find distractions... This place - whether it's posting, lending a hand or reading old posts - is a fab distraction. Gentle down the energy in and around you and just keep taking it a moment at a time... You can do this, dear one. Rhonda- I know how you feel. My brother got sent back over a few weeks ago (his 3rd time), and even though his contract is up this July, he'll have to stay until next January, at least. It's frustrating and scary, but you don't need the smoke. Even if you just have to stay put in your chair on this Web site for the next hour, you'll do just fine. You've just got to beat this one craving at a time. I had my worst craving EVER 2 days ago, and this site was the only thing that kept me inside and away from all the smokers on campus. Just re-commit yourself to being a non-smoker, and whatever you do...don't pick up a cig. You can beat this. Good luck, and make sure to tell us how you came out of it, ok????!!!! Rhonda.... Congratulations on 13 awesome days! Take some deep breaths and do something to distract yourself from all the sad news. Things have a way of working out. Kick, scream, cry, break dishes. Whatever it takes, just don't smoke! Sounds like it is reward time to me for doing so well on staying quit. Do something special just for you! You deserve it.
