Wow, this has been an interesting thread to read! In more ways than one!
I definitely feel that those who come back after a slip are entitled to encouragement rather than censure - especially since the slippers (the ones I've seen anyway) are MUCH harder on themselves than anyone else could be here.
I also feel, though, that if you slip, you should reset your meter, but I understand that here it is left to the user to make that choice for themselves, so I respect the house rules. (But it's still my opinion that they should!)
And then...

The reality was, I had a "planned slip," if there is such a thing, at the end of January. I intended to smoke to see if I found it revolting after 3 months. I smoked, and to my horror, I was not revolted in the least.

Reading that gave me SUCH a strong crave! I actually sat here for a few minutes, contemplating having myself a little planned slip so I could test it out and see if I would be revolted or not. (Yeah, planned for about 10 minutes from now, or as long as it takes me to get to a store, whichever is less.) I'm happy to report that my rational self won out and convinced my not-so-rational self that that would be a stupid idea. :p
Sooooooo... I would have to say that maybe I should be avoiding posts that talk about slippage myself.
From now on, I think I will.
