Today marks 500 days from the last time I smoked a cigarette. As many of you know, I originally quit in June of 2005, but slipped 3 times, reset my meter and haven't smoked since then. And that was 500 days ago! WOW! It doesn't even seem that long, but at the same time, it seems like it's been an eternity.
So today, I am putting my meter back to June 17th, 2005... the day I originally quit. Whenever I talk about quitting, and people ask me when I quit, I say June 17, 2005. I don't say October 28. So it seems silly to keep Oct. 28th as my quit date. I stand behind my decision to reset my meter and if I ever smoked again (God forbid) I would reset it again... but that's NOT going to happen!
I know I don't log in much anymore, but when I do, I want my quit date to reflect my real quit date. I know it may seem silly to many here, but it's important to me. So, for the last time, here's showing 500 days.......
