Congratulations on 2 smoke-free years, Mark. Thank you for dropping back in to give others some hope and promise. I, too, quit using Zyban (Wellbutrin), but the method isn't important. The quitting is. Knowing you'll keep up the great quit, Mark. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 549 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,988 Amount Saved: $2086.2 Life Gained: Days: 102 Hrs: 10 Mins: 20 Seconds: 32

2 years back I read through these boards as I was in serious nicotine withdrawl, and it helped. I read the stats parade forum to be motivated, to be where the folks who have quit have come. I realised, at the time, that I was not alone, and that there were many (just like me) who sought freedom from the addiction, and that the battle can be won. Yes, I was a hopeless addict to cigarettes, and even to this day I still get the odd cigarette thought - so I stay on guard. I say "a thought", instead of a craving, as the actual cravings I suffered in withdrawl were gone (on memory) within the first few weeks. I quit by using zyban - it worked for me. I was a heavy smoker for 20 years. But what I'm really here to say is this: I know there's a number of folks out there who lurk these boards and who are not even registered. I know you're seeking support from people who are just like you. And you need to know that you too can quit. If a guy like me, who was hopelessly addicted to cigarettes, with a heavy habit, can quit, then you can too. Take care all. Mark.
