Gave the new I/M a try....clicked Launch, which opened a "CuteChat" window....got the message "loading" and then window disappeared. Have tried several time, but to no avail.... Maybe this isn't compatible with a Mac like the other instant messenger... Thanks, Ladybugg. Based on your comment I dug deeper. I have to only turn off ad and pop-up window blocking in Norton and pop-up blocking in IE to get it to lauch. Question for SSC. What is the exact URL for the messenger so I can add it as an allowed site to Norton and don't have to keep turning it on and off? I finally got it to run, but I have to shut down my entire Norton Internet security except for the antivirus part. I'm not willing to operate that exposed, so I guess I won't be using it for the time being. To get the new SSC IM working with Norton Personal Firewall 2006: The problem is in the Popup Window Blocking of Ad Blocking. It interprets the SSC IM as a popup and blocks it. To maintain current performance while allowing the SSC IM to function do the following: First copy this: im5webapp.stopsmokingcenter.net Open the Personal Firewall window. Click on Ad Blocking, then click on the Configure button. Click the Advanced Button. Click on Add Site Remove the default �www.� (if it�s there) and paste the URL. Click OK. Click on the Global Settings tab and uncheck �Use default settings� in the �Information about your browser� box. �Permit� should be selected. Click OK all the way out. SSC IM should launch now. This is what I did and it seems to work fine. If anything is wrong or excessive, please post it. I also don't know if the steps will apply to any other version of Norton Personal Firewall. I made no changes to IE 6; everything is at default for it. I do have the XP firewall disabled since Norton does a better job. Keep up the great quits, everyone.
