As usual Lady a great post and I really enjoyed this one. There are some real giants listed here in your post and everyone of them has helped so many people with their quits. Keep going Lady :) Pete My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 172 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,169 Amount Saved: $602 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 11 Mins: 23 Seconds: 36

Thank you Lady for your kindness and words of acknowledgement. I am a simple old man who just wants to give something back to those who may need a helping hand or a word of encouragement. You do this so very well and I am so proud of you. Pete and I were chatting last evening and she asked me why do you still hang out at the SSC, no one responds to your posts. I just smiled and told her that my reward was not what people had to say about my posts, just that they had the opportunity to look at them and may be gain something that might save their quit. You have indeed honored me by placing me with some wonderful people. My mentor and super friend, Rusty, has given me so much she is indeed a true friend. Keep up your great work, so many new people need you more than ever. Great thread Lady. It's a journey you can enjoy too except that you don't know it yet. When you've been quit for a good while you tend to look back at the person you were and realise just how tangled up you were with the nuisance of it all. Quitting really does set you free. So, although it's a struggle in the early days, try to embrace every single milestone because you won't walk this way again, and be proud of every single day you don't smoke.
