Come on Mary, you're an Augustine you can do it. I'm sorry you're feeling so bad and really wish i could come and give you a big hug. I do think though that it might be time to see your doctor. Life is definitely worth living! Just got on site - OMG Mary! No! No! No! No! Nooooooooooooooo . . . . Stop it! Put that pack under your kitchen faucet & run water into it to ruin every last one. Quit again. Right now. You got what it takes to kick this right along with me & the rest of the Augustines. Come back. It's just a small set back. Don't let it be a total surrender. You have what it takes. You just don't know it yet. Come back. Quit again. (sob . . .) hello all, I think I am at the end of my tether with not smoking, the past few days have been awful, family get togethers etc and I have longed for a cig throughout.I am seriously depressed now, not really functioning well at all, in fact cant be bothered with anyone or anything.I think because of my bereavement and stopping smoking I am finding the going to tough.I feel so disappointed as I really do not want to smoke but life does not feel worth living at the moment, what a dreadful drug nicotine is.In case anyone says read the posts, I do, all day and everyday, god knows I have enough information on stopping smoking to be able to manage it but at the moment it seems like I won't make it. Hi cheermom,Lady Mac and Dutch Fini, thankyou for your comments and encouragement. I do hope to come back to you very soon. I do not want to smoke, heaven knows I have read just about every book on how to stop smoking and understand them too, but cant seem to get the right attitude into my thick head. I have listened to endless cds and tapes, had accapuncture, hypnosis, nicotine replacement therapy, read all the workbook on this site.I also tried Zyban this time after feeling very low and hoped that would help but nothing seems to stop me craving a cigarette. I know all this sounds absoloutely pathetic , Lots of my friends and family have stopped smoking with apparent ease but unfortunately it doesnt go that way for me, I have to fight the urge endlessly and eventually it wears me down also I think my poor family who have to put up with a miserable mother. I started off this quit with high hopes and a very positive attitude, I thought I would never smoke again so no I am certainly not happy about this and it doesnt make life better, I wouldnt like anyone who is struggling along to think this. You are all doing a fantastic job with your quits and I envy how you all seem so cheerful most of the time, you can joke even when you are having a bad time.I am going to have a good think about it tonight and see if I can get my act together and start again. Cheers, Mary My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 73 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,213 Amount Saved: 292 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 23 Mins: 4 Seconds: 47

Hello fagaslyne, Phil, Mclaughlin, Penitent, gonnadoit,Cobenfan, Lady, Casey, Mac, and Sillyme.Thankyou all very much for your have replies to my cry for help, unfortunately they were to no avail, I have just received them as I forgot to click the inform me of replies button, I said at the beginning I am quite new to computers and dont always get it right. Anyway the dirty deed is done and I am smoking again, I am not at all happy about it but felt like I was going to crack up as I endlessly seemed to be fighting a battle not to smoke. I was already feeling very low when began my quit, perhaps I should have waited until I learned to come to terms with the death of my husband.I feel as if I have let you all down as I know you are all having a tough time yourselves, I would not have lasted this long if I hadn't been reading all the posts daily, they really kept me going. I do hope you all make it it your battle with the damned horrible fags. Believe you me, you don't feel very thrilled with yourself and do have that one puff, it,s back on the old destructive cycle again. I am going to see how it goes for a day or so and see if I can have another go with the help of my friends on the SSC. Good luck everyone. Mary, It's not to late for you. Do you feel any better now that you smoke? No, you don't. Please quit now, it's only a couple of days. You could do it for 73 days and you can do that again. Smoking does NOT solve any of your problems, in fact, you will feel bad because you smoke. So get yourself together and come back here. We are here to help and support you and you can't let us down. Here is a hug (((( MARY)))) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 219 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,493 Amount Saved: 646.05 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 5 Mins: 21 Seconds: 22

Mary: Hope you are over it now and made it successfully smoke-free. I had what one of those demon craves last week that left me physically exhausted from the fight. You can do it.
