Thank you all for your support...what a great place to be. I've been told to post often and I started a journal...here is my first entry.....
Day 1: Doing well so far.little dizzy at times...a little spacy and I can already feel my focus waningand had an urge to smoke abut hour ago, but it passed. I walked to the break room and filled up my water bottle instead. I have a small headache starting already, but its only been a day of not smoking. Im surprised at how good Im doing so far. Trying to decide what to have for lunch.thinking about all naughty stuff, a chicago deep dish pizza sounds great.....do you think Chicago would deliver to Michigan???
No need to reply...this is more for me than anything!

I'm so excited...My hubby just called and he is so excited I'm quitting again....He got me excited by talking about what I can spend all of my extra money on........I'm so excited at the potential to finally be smoke free hopefully for good!!!!

First, thank you to all who answered my post and also the instructions for the instant messenger....because I'm at work, I may only get on the instant messenger during lunch, but we will see. The support in here is wonderful, and I'm also blessed with a supporting husband.....a two very nagging children....who nag me to quit smoking every day....so far so good. Since this is my fifth time, I'm surprised that because I know what the first three days are like, I'm doing fairly well so far....actually better than I thought. I know all to well the pangs and cravings the first 48-72 hours.....so for now, I'm taking it one hour at a time...one craving at a time....I remember reading during one of my past attempts that if you just wait 5 minutes or so when a craving hits you, the craving will diminish. I have snacks and gum at my desk and I'm visualizing my lungs healing themselves from years of abuse. I can't wait until I can smell and taste again!!! Thanks again for listening...we can do this!!!!

Welcome, you have found a very supporting family. I am also a repeater. In fact I just blew a quit. I went out for a day, but could not stand it so I start again today. Just post, do the program and hang on tight. Everyone will be here for you. Good luck and let's keep the quit.
