I am right about where you were. Is it going to go away soon or do I have to suffer forever??? Hi April, are we having fun yet? ha ha ha ha Come on girl, hang in there with me. I know this will get better. We have to stop looking, dwelling, and waiting for it to get better and allow our bodies to heal. It doesn't feel good but you've already come so far. Just hang on and you'll see it getting better. I had to horrible days, my 11th and 12th Day but I stopped drinking as much water as I needed. Make sure you're still drinking a lot, a lot, a lot of water. Okay? Keep talking to us. Vent all that you need to. I'm right here with you and I know we can do this. take a magic marker and draw a little smiling face on your red spot. If you are really worried, find some way to get someone medical to look at it or read up on it. sometimes a pharmacist can give direction. You're degree of wanting a cigarette has nothing to do with how successful you will be when you allow this crave to pass over you. You are in a funk and you need to get out of it. How can you do that? I mean other than smoking, b/c smoking will not get you out of that funk, only dig you deeper. You are the winner here. Kick. Scream. We're here for you. This is not pretty - but this is where the rubber hits the road. You will survive victorious. BREAK OUT!!!!!!!!!!! Hang on in there Kat. It will pass, I promise. It's still early days for you in this quit - Rome wasn't built in a day. Have you got anything nice you could have a snack on? Have you got some nice smelly things you could go and relax in the bath with? Have you got a minute to go and fight with the cross-trainer in the gym? (no, that's not your personal trainer in the gym!!) Try and keep your mind off the nasty little blighters! Those cigarettes will only put you back to square one. Sit tight, love! Hope you're feeling better soon, Deli My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 168 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,531 Amount Saved: 504 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 4 Mins: 46 Seconds: 26

Hi Kat, Sounds like your anxiety level is peaking and if I remember correctly, it appears to be right around the same time that my own anxieties reached a new high. I understand how you feel, as far as the old junkie thoughts go, but realistically, ask yourself if smoking that cigarette is going to take care of the problem. Of course it won't. Having thoughts like, "At least I'd feel more in control if I smoked", "It will help me to calm down", "It will help me to be able to cope with this stress I've got going on right now. These are all lies and the junkie thinking will do everything in it's power to set you back. Don't give in! You know what it takes, and you're doing great. Hold on to your quit and guard it with all you have. It DOES get easier. Change the attitude about cigarettes. Get angry with it for what it has done to you, and start kickin' butt! Don't let this addiction keep you in a state of anxiety. Need to borrow some boxing gloves?? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 183 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,470 Amount Saved: $686.25 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 1 Mins: 9 Seconds: 7

Hi all, well I have been quit and not for some time...I now have just about two weeks back under my belt but for the last few days I have had the worst crave. Its this constant feeling of being anxious that is driving me crazy. I just finished reading the allan carr book about a week ago and was so gung ho with this whole thing ...but the thought of smoking has been creeping back into my mind. I just want to be free so badly. I was just about to leave the house right not to buy a pack but tried to focus on how bad I would feel after having one...doesn't make me want one less though... I have this weird dry spot on my arm/leg...tiny but concerning little red spot which has make me nervous and wanting to smoke because I know I can't go to the doc to check it out because of lack of insurance...I hope it is only dry skin from this cold cold weather...any ideas??? kat My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 314 Amount Saved: $75 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 1 Mins: 25 Seconds: 3

It's your addiction that makes you question: Can I do this? Will it go on forever? Oh help! Well, please know that it will definitely NOT go on for ever. It does take time and if you give it time, you will be a winner.
