Good for you! I can tell you the first day was really hard for me, but I still haven't smoked and my husband is still alive!!!he-he..I believe we can do this. You have made up your mind and that is half the battle. I'll keep you in my prayers. I'll add you to my buddy list, and if you need to talk just send me a message Good Luck My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 48 Amount Saved: $10 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 12 Seconds: 33

Hi all! will be quitting very soon, i calculate this to be my 6th quit.. AND I REALLY HOPE THIS IS THE LAST! ok.. i'm going to quit VERY SOON.. am preparing myself for 'the ceremony of the last cigarette', something which i read in alan carr's book and am looking forward to do.. i want to be able to smell my shampoo, i am tired of being embarrassed by my stained yellow fingers, i have an appointment with the dentist to remove some nicotine stains from the insides of my teeth AND I DON'T WANT THESE STAINS TO RETURN! i'm 32, been smoking for around 20 years (yes since i was 12!) and i want to be healthy again.. i want to save up money and ooohh.. i just want to be smoke-free!! will be rambling here quite a lot so please be patient if i post and post over and over again.. but these next few days i'll be glued to this forum, it has really helped in the past and i am sure it will be of great help in this quit as well.. this forum is always full of supportive people who are always willing to give a kind word of advice and a helping hand.. so here i extend my hand.. to anyone who will take it! please help me keep my quit!! would also like to have a buddy, if anyone would be so kind to oblige!! take care all... joanna :)

Keepdquit, Congratulations on deciding to become a NON SMOKER. How great is that?!! Changing is right, lots and lots of water. Drink enough to float a small boat. ha ha ha It really helps with the cravings and flushes your system at the same time. I have a small arsenal of things to chew on here. HA HA HA I will have to get the cinnamon flavored gum and/or candy. That's the only flavor I don't have. LOL Keep posting and reading as much as you can. We're all here for you. Keepdquit - Congratulations! Try to distract yourself and stay very busy! Something about cinnamin seems to help too (cinnamin gum, red hots, etc). And, remember to chug lots of water constantly!
