It's so hard because I'm alone here (hubby isn't home yet) and I've got 3 girls, 11, 5, and 5 months old. I want to just leave the house and run run run, or go to bed, but I can't, I have the kids to take care of. I'm starting to feel a bit better, I can do this!!!! So I am 7 days "quit" today, cold turkey. I'm craving so bad right now I can feel my heart pounding out of my chest!! My girls need me smoke-free, but this craving feels like it's more important than anything in the world right now!! Tell me I can fight it, please!! Good morning to you all!! I made it!! No slip ups!! Hubby came home shortly after I posted. He is also "quit" for 3 days, today being the 4th day. I don't know if him quitting also is making it harder or easier for me to stay quit. We are both miserable you-know-whats. I didn't go out for a walk, when I was smoking I would do it outside only, so I think going "out" for a walk at this point would be more harmful than helpful. Instead I just filled up the tub and had a bubble bath - a long one!! I feel ok so far today. After I posted last night I literally refreshed my computer page every 30 seconds to check for responses, just to keep me from going out for a smoke. I appreciate all of your replys, they were all so very helpful. We should all be so proud of ourselves!! I know I will be needing more support so you should all be hearing from me again soon!! Take care all and stay strong!! YOU CAN FIGHT IT!! I just went through an awful craving and I just kept talking myself out of it. Remember you are living life as a non-smoker now. For your Daughter. I am doing it for My children too. The night is almost over and your Day 7 is Almost Gone. Just think Tomorrow is Day 8. Do you want it to be day 1 again?? I know I don't so you probaly don't either. Keep BUSY or just relax and get to bed early. Hang in there, I know it is tuff, I just want to cry sometimes. LOL and I am only on Day 2.

Keep Posting BJ, We love to hear from you, and wanna help you through this. Just know your never alone...so many people can relate to your frustrations with this quit, and they can help you through. I LOVED the bubble baths to distract myself...that was a great thing for you to do. Stay strong, and protect the quit. bj, are the kid's tucked into bed? Is the hubby home yet? I hope your doing well. These hard times do pass even though in the middle of one it feels like it's never going to end. If all is quiet now, take some time for yourself...you totally deserve it. Your doing great! Way to go BJ, you did it you fought the fight with the nicodemon and won the battle. And each time it should get easier, like any journey there will be bumps in the road and a few sharp curves but with enough determination and drive you will make it to your smoke free destination. Think how great it is going to be when spring comes around and you can take those beautiful little girls out to play and breath in the fresh spring air. Stay close and post as often as needed to keep the fight going..

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But you knew that already, didn't you? ;) Now, you just have to believe in yourself and take this one moment at a time. Breathe in... Breathe out... Breathe in... deeper... Breathe out... Keep doing this. You'll be fine. Nobody ever died from quitting. I wish the same could be said about smoking. Crave the Quit!
