Emma, Thank you for your wonderful insight. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any question or concerns with our €œTOOLS€, you can contact at support@paniccenter.net. We are the Support Specialist for The Panic Center and are open to any questions or concerns you may have. Awareness, knowledge and support are key ingredients throughout our journey. Well, Just found this site and feel 100 times better already. Over the last year I thought I had lupus, breast cancer, heart attack, brain tumur oh it goes on. Last night I had a massive panic attack. It was horrible and I have woken up feeling tiered, fed up and through with it. I find it unfair that we have to go through this worry I mean it is really hard to cope with. My husband is so supportive but it must be awful on him too. He keeps telling me that sometimes he gets the same sensations and its natural. I was born like this and will be for a long time. The important this is that we get a message out to everyone that this is a great problem and an awareness needs to get out so we understand and dont panic about it. Its lack if understanding really, I mean everyone gets flu, colds, tonsilitis, stomache bugs...alot of people get what we get but it is not known as normal as the other lillnesses I have just listed so therefore it is hard to get over.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragment. I will definetly check that book out. It sounds like information that I could use. On a bad note, my doc says I indeed have the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. Have to go for more tests on the 17th. I can't believe it!

Hi! I have never joined a chat group before but wanted to say something to the poor lady that says she's losing it-there is help ! Have you heard of Claire Weekes-I have all her tapes and book-she explains like noone else can about how we get these nervous thoughts and panic and also how to cure them. Thoughts won't harm us-no matter how horrid we might think they are-our poor brains are tired so exaggerated thoughts come and go. Panic attacks (as awful they are) won't kill us or drive us crazy. If you learn to accept without FEAR and keep going through them without FEAR=eventually they won't come anymore. I haven't had a one in 18 years. Get her books and tapes-you can find them real cheap on Amazon. Jean

Hi Mosi, I definitely feel seeing a doctor should be your next step, all the basic blood work will reassure you that you won't have anything truly wrong, and please don't hold back telling your doctor, how scared, depressed, etc you have been. He might be able to help you determine your stress factors that trigger the depression (reason for not being able to sleep at night, thus without a full restful sleep, anybody would be irritable). You are a good mom, you see you need some help, you have made progress joining this group for some online support, and that says for you, " I want to be well", and you can achieve that. Definitely make that appointment as soon as possible. Please keep in touch. Trish

Hi Trish--- As far as my other symptoms go, I can't sleep at night, am depressed and irritable during the day, and can't think about much else. No, I haven't seen a doctor yet, and am trying to avoid it, but I guess that might be the next step. The worse thing that could happen to me is dying or being debilitated and not being able to be a good mother to my kids.

Hi Mosi, Can you tell me what panic symptoms you are experiencing during these obsessive thoughts? Most of us obsess about dying, or having a heart attack, etc. during our attacks and afterwards. Then our behavior leads us to go from doctor to doctor, just looking for something to justify we truly have something medically wrong with us, other than than the panic attacks themselves. Are you seeing a therapist or doctor now or in the past over the complusive thoughts? Trish

I am really sad that no one responded with any positive advice or encouragement. This board was recommended to me by a friend who suggested that you all might be able to give me advice on how to handle this panic. Is there really no one else out there who has experienced the anxiety that I am dealing with?

I am so tired of worrying about my health all the time. In the last two weeks I have gone from worrying that I have MS, to lupus, herniated disk, and now I am just positive that I have rheumatoid arthritis because both of my elbows are killing me and RA runs in my family. But I feel like the worry is destroying me! I have everything to be happy about, and to spend weeks/months just worried that I am going to get some incurable disease and leave my family behind. Its all I can think about. I obsess like this probably during two periods each year. Can someone offer me some advice? I was crying over my self diagnosis this morning. B
