My only night at home through the week and i am going crazy . I feel like i have been imprisoned for years. Too early to sleep to late to do anything. Might chain myself to a radiator to stop my popping out.Or wire the widow's and doors up to the mains. Thanks Lynne, bashed myself over the head with a hot iron for ten minutes, that seemed to do the trick. Only kidding but thanks for your support. Apologies for the English on previous post. I am wearing boxing gloves to stop me from picking cigarettes up so typing not that hot . Kidding again. Alexander, Just breathe and keep reading and keep posting. You need to do something to change your focus....is there any projects you can start working, clean out a drawer...a closet, do a load of laundry, do up the dishes....try and occupy yourself. You can make it!! alexander, i have found that when I feel like that, the only thing is to distract myself, so I go and have a hot bath, or read a favourite book,or watch a dvd, anything to get cigarettes out of your mind hugs lynnexx My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/24/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 21 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 325 Amount Saved: 84 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 10 Mins: 27 Seconds: 48

Hey Alexander...As long as you have those boxing gloves on...why not head on over to the gym....or it that's not possible, go for a walk...I'm getting a little lazy these days...but those first two weeks I had to go to the gym almost every day to deal with all that extra anxiety! P.S. I think you are going to be mighty fun to have on this site. Bashing oneself over the head with a frying pan is a very creative method of distraction....and the boxing gloves...you've gotta be one of the most creative thinkers here! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 64 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,297 Amount Saved: $320 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 3 Mins: 44 Seconds: 4

Alexander, Perhaps you're getting through this with some humour. You've made me chuckle. After supper, I'm settling in for an evening of crime scene shows. That'll take my mind off things. I could cheerfully throttle anyone who walks my way, so I figure its safer to watch TV. Hang in there, it all gets easier with time. Cheers, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Golly, I hope you pulled through this without admittance to the critical care ward! Chaining yourself to the radiator is a unique idea....explaining the ligature marks around your ankle to your spouse is another issue! :gasp: Anyone up for a game of twister? Alexander, You've received some great advice from your fellow quitters. I can only echo them: get up and moving with a distraction. Also try to sneak in a reward for staying smoke free. Keep persevering, Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team
