welbutrin and head aches

Denzil, Headaches definetly are part of the quiting process. Eyes feel funny, kindof spaced out. All kinds of fun things. What does an addiction specialist do? I can imagine what they propably do but I have never heard of one. Wow - 4 days Denzil...and I missed it! Way to go - I seemed to have more headaches the first while too....What's that all about? Are you cheering for the Senators?? I share the house with a Canuck fan (Canuck nights are holy nights in our house - no compromising over the t.v.) Nice to see you posting....Hope you have a good time at the game! Yeah, I believe headaches come with the territory. But if they persist, it wouldn't hurt to get it checked out. Speaking of hockey, any NHL game is holy night in our house, but especially the Leafs! Denzil I had headaches the first few days that I quit, I've been on Wellbutrin since before i quit and I'm pretty sure that its not the wellbutrin causing the headache but the lack of nicotine and all the other chemicals your body is used to having. They lasted about a week for me, hope you feel better soon. Denzil: I used wellbutrin for about the first 6 weeks, never noticed headaches. Are you still smoking or quit? Headaches are common in the first week or so, I believe.... Denzil, Glad to hear your meeting went well and that your resolve is now strong. Headaches are painful and bothersome but they are temporary and they do pass. Keep persevering! They provide focused, tailored one on one or group counseling and supervision to individuals with an addiction. Danielle ____________________ The SSC Support Team

Thanks I needed that encouragement. Hanging in. Hope things improve soon I feel the urges but going back would mean starting over, and that would be far too painful. :gasp: My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 76 Amount Saved: $29.25 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 16 Mins: 2 Seconds: 12

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Thanks for the info folks. My adiction specialist and I had a meeting the other day. His advise was as obvious to me as the smile on his face if you want to quit smoking, QUIT SMOKING!!!! you will experience head aches and other withdrawal symptoms but if you smoke a cigarette to stop the headache you break the quit pattern and just keep quitting and quitting. He said take whatever you need to not smoke but be sure not to smoke. So after the obvious had been explained to me I finally surrendered to the fact that I am addicted to nicotine and cannot ever inhale chew or touch this product without having harmful results. So today nicotine is leaving my body leaving me sore all over. And after a few days the constant struggle will diminish and I will feel well again. PS the headaches have subsided considerably, and he said to take anacin when they reappear. I'm back to working out starting tomorrow and the Senators lost the game, but we had a great time in our booth thanks to the senators executive sales staff. Free food and drink always make the loss a little more bearable off to bed early day tomorrow. Thanks again for the support and looking forward to reading your responses to this post in the am. Dennis :) ;p
