thanks guys halfway through day 4 now and feel a whole lot better. It appears that im not a morning person at all when it comes to the quit.I go for a walk for 50 minutes every lunch hour so obviously this calms me or something.Would i be doing too much to go walking as soon as i get up of a morning as well, dont want to burn myself out My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/29/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 98 Amount Saved: $30.75 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 13 Mins: 41 Seconds: 25

Hi Super! You would not be burning yourself out if you went for a walk in the morning as well as at lunch. One funny thing that happens is that we have SO MUCH extra energy and don't know what to do with it. So walking, moving the bod around, mopping floors, cleaning out closets, all get done in the first few weeks of our quits. And you know, if we are not spending all day planning for and indulging in our addiction, there are an awful lot of hours, minutes, and seconds in a day to be filled with SOMETHING. Employers always say smokers take "too many breaks" and it's true! Think about smoking 20-25 cigs in a day, even at 5 min per, that's 125 min of every day! So now, take that time for yourself and put it to good use! You so deserve it. Glad you're feeling better Super. When it gets bad, come right here & vent away as it seems to help strengthen the resolve in our quits. I got next to nothing done the first 7-10 days of my quit. In my experience it was exhausting to quit smoking! Plus I had the concentration of a gnat. But it passes and I recall by day 5 or 6 feeling much, much better. The physical craving had passed but the "thinking about smoking" was darn near constant. A lot of it at first was just being a bit "awed" that I wasn't smoking! But the "thinking of smoking" is dangerous for me so I had to make a point to stop the thought(s), go do something else (distract) and placate the "hand to mouth" thing (straws, toothpicks, gum, etc). As everyone has mentioned, I too think you sound right on track with what your experiencing being that your still in Hell Week. Hang in there Super! Super, Not at all. If you do feel a little tired afterwards, you can reduce the amount of walking time. If you choose to keep walking for the same amount, your body will adjust. If you really want to challenge yourself in the future, you can rev up the intensity of your walk by picking up the pace. Danielle ___________________________ The SSC Support Team
