hi sanju: the doc suggested that the physical activity provoked damage in my sternum-- the cartilage holding my ribs together... my heart is in good shape, i think. if you do club drugs like E and crystal that could be contributing to your anxiety attacks. mine are always worse after i've drank alcohol. i used to do lots of drugs and i'm sure they didn't help, tho i had the anxiety prior to dabbling in raves and E and such. in fact, E helped my panic attacks for sometime, until they came back way worse, but i suspect that was due more to the alcohol (sober 4 months now!) and the stimulants (speed, coke, etc.) but i digress, dancing all night is healthy enough, i think, as long as you aren't doing drugs and drinking. so, yeah, to answer your question: i have played rough in my life. i also experienced a broken collarbone from an ******* boyfriend and was thrown down a few flights of stairs here and there, etc... so i suppose i could have pain from that too. anyway, good luck. peace. tai

i have had the same thing! i also had an ECG done: the doctor said that if i had heart disease it would definitely show up in an ECG. but i'm still having chest pains now and then. they are certainly related to anxiety for me. i find lying down w/ a heating pad on my chest is soothing. my doctor suggested that i might have inflammation of my sternum from heavy physical work i've done in the past (landscaping and trail-maintenance work) plus all the dancing i did as a raver. lol. also, you know it's normal to have occasionally twinges in your heart and chest... one other thing that helps me is being prepared to die anytime. when i get afraid that i'm going to die, i think of all the bad things in my life and i start to feel like death wouldn't be so bad. i embrace it. i say to myself: "well, tai, have a heart attack and die then. go ahead." often that helps, believe it or not! anyway, peace. tai
