Hi, I see I am not alone. I, too, am on day 10 smoke free, using chantix. I had real trouble with nausea when I got up to the full dose, but finally that passed. I had two very rough days (my first days off work) wanting to smoke, but made it past those.
Other than those two days, the medication really seems to take the mental part of quitting and move it to the background. Like others using this medication have said, all of a sudden you think, "Hey, I should be having a cigarette right now." then the thought passes just as quickly.
I have a 30 yr. smoking history, about 1 1/2 packs per day for the last 20 years. Have tried patches, gum, cold turkey, Zyban, and always started right back up. this is the best and most hopeful time I have had. Hope you find it works for you, also. Hang in there.
