Hi Bullseye - So glad that I'm not the only obsesser (I start thinking about my next meal shortly after the last one) ... but having an addictive personality, I figure the best addiction I can have is to obsess about exercise and healthy diet...I'm down 18 lbs from December but I went up 10 during the first 3 months... Hi just some info that might help, i swear by the cross trainer, i used at the gym and i have now bought one for home, even if you only do 10 minutes to start off with you will eventually do around 30 minutes 3 times a week, not every day as you will get bored. I noticed the weight drop off me after 6 weeks of using this at the gym and i love it, its very smooth on your joints, it gets your legs, bum, hips and waist down. If you think you cant afford one, save the money from not smoking. Ive bought the reebok series 3, its a new one and its lovely, it tells you all the calories etc, the usual stuff but also you have a gradiant where you can work harder etc. I bought it for 270, but i knew that would be my treat for quitting smoking. I do advise if your going to by a x trainer try get a descent one as the cheap ones really are not that comfortable, as they are flimsy and rock about a bit :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/7/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 211 Amount Saved: 50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 18 Mins: 45 Seconds: 49

I too have put on weight. I had been down for 3 months with a bad back. So I walked gently and smoked and ate. Then I had the spinal fusion and quit smoking and eating. Then I caved and smoked and now I'm not smoking and try to eat small meals 3 or 4 times a day. I go back to the Dr. on march 8th and I am so hoping he will let me do some walking or something. Each day is a battle because I have nothing to do. Lucky the weather has been good here so I can at least take 4 to 5 15 minute walks outside. But I'm afraid I will get so fat that I will never get it off. I can't do any kind of exercises except for walking. I do need help today :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 195 Amount Saved: $48 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 9 Seconds: 45

And Im still off the cigs!! Pigged out after my weigh in but I think i deserved it, back to normal eating today ! I have to say that my weight gain( I gained 5lb and have lost 2lb) was not that I was eating more because I wasnt,(maybe the first week) I was just gaining! it was obviously my body just adjusting. The last two weeks seem to have got better, 2 weeks ago I didnt gain or lose , and last thursday I lost 2lb. I always ate healthy & excercised so I just increased my excercise & been a bit more strict with my eating. But I dont mind having to do that as long as I dont gain weight and stay smoke free!

I had slight progress last night, got weighed and stayed the same , which I can handle even though I am working my ass off but as long as i dont gain anymore. I wonder is that the end of it now, wil I start loosing now?
