Hi , today is not a good day, even with the sun shining. It is so nice outside today and I am finding it harder with my not smoking today. I've already had to apologize to hubby for being a _itch. Thankfully he understands. The nice weather only wants me to go outside and you know what. I'm going to have to stop putting my pants in the dryer or they aren't going to fit. I am such a putz today. I have to keep taking these deep breaths and even think about each one. I can only look forward to a day when I don't have to have any of these thoughts. Thank you all for your post, I am having a much better day today. Going to bed super early last night helped, too. It does feel great to think this will be my first Spring nicotine free. I think I'll start the walking it off. Sounds like a good way to get the stress off and the exercise doesn't hurt at all. Yesterday, may of been my worse day ever and I'm glad it's behind me for now. One day at a time is the plan I'm following. :) kygirl613 I'm glad you're well and strongly determined. I learned to accept and observe my blue moods as they come and go. Seems sometimes that they have their own independent life! Let's celebrate our 33day together. stay well. mitri My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 33 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 167 Amount Saved: $33 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 14 Mins: 6 Seconds: 23

Kygirl, I am sorry to hear about your day yesterday. We do all have them. I have to keep telling myself, I use to have then when I smoked too. Take care of yourself and reward yourself for making it through a tough day. Going to bed early was a great idea. Please know that we are here for you. You really are doing a great job. See you on the ship. KY, These days just are! All we can do is acknowledge that these days happen and that tomorrow is a new day. I recently had a day of PMS, plus recent weight gain, plus a bad sinus infection, plus a horrible day at work feeling totally alone. All I could do was stay close to my friends here and look forward to tomorrow, which does come, and so does its tomorrow and the following tomorrow. You come out, I promise. But these days just do happen. I'm sorry you are having one today. I know how you feel. If there is something you can do like take a walk or simply calling it a day and crawling up in bed, do it. All days end and new days begin :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 50 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,017 Amount Saved: $140 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 22 Mins: 44 Seconds: 32

KyGirl, Congratulations on 30 Days!! You're doing a wonderful job. You know, It looks like we're going to have to learn how to do so many different things, even learn how to welcome in the seasons, without that cigarette in our hand. I don't know about you but there was a WHOLE LOT that I did while smoking and I'm having to learn how to approach those things in a different way now. I really believe that we'll have fewer bad days as we learn more ways to cope with all of those situations that make us crave a cigarette or THINK about one. This is our first spring Smoke Free!! We're going to have a lot of "firsts", huh? I think we both need to look for more tools of distraction so we can deal with all of those "firsts." (We may be getting tired of the same tools we've been using.) Eventually, we'll have ourselves so trained to get through any situation without a cigarette that we'll rarely think of one. I wish there were a magic date or a damn fine button we could push to get rid of any and all thoughts of a cigarette but, we have to keep working at this and I know we can do it. We just have to keep hanging together.....a day at a time. I keep saying we because I KNOW how you're feeling too. I see that you're at that 30 Day mark. I've read all of the posts where you hit a slump for a few days right around that 30 day mark in your quit. Just keep telling yourself that this is just going to last for a few days. Keep reminding yourself of that fact and then go and do something nice for yourself. You deserve it. Stay Strong.....We're right here with you.
