I like that I am in control here...I am no longer planning my life around a smoke break. And, as I have mentioned several times, I SMELL SO GOOD! Beating the heck out of this demon! At least trying. I wish I felt all the other things, like fresh breath, appetite, but I'm running on being angry at smoking for now. I'm usually not an angry type person but I hate the control it had over me. Marie

More good reasons to stop smoking: 1. Raises your self-esteem 2. More energy 3. More time - wasted a lot of time smoking 4. BREATHING!!! 5. Laugh without coughing 6. No more thinking about when you are going to smoke next!!! 7. Sleep better - eventually My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 16 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 168 Amount Saved: $30.88 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 23 Mins: 0 Seconds: 42

Points: Sticking pretty close to home these past 3 weeks, I ventured out yesterday to visit my daughters who live an hour away. (I was trying to stay away from any of the triggers..if you know what I mean) ;) What Happened ? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. A memory of lighting up when I started the car, NO CRAVE! 2. No smelly car 3. My granddaughters gave me Not only Hugs...but KISSES (Grandma...quit smoking....Yey!!!) 4. A pleasant Reward from my daughter, she took me out to Dinner 5. The Waiter bent over backwards with service... (I think it was because we didn't smell bad...like tobacco) 6. My Grandson wanted to come home with me! 7. The hour drive back home when pulling into the driveway...a fleeting thought that I had not even thought about a cigarett the whole hour of driving. 8. :) When I walked into my house, it smelled like my husband had been cleaning...(ha-ha...not a chance...NOT HIS YOB) But...the abscence of cigarett smoke....is really paying off. 9. The feeling of confidence while out in public that I too...am a Non-Smoker 10. And my gratitude and thankfs to my creator who has been with me every mile.... Along with everything listed here already, I've noticed I have more confidence to try things I previously thought might be too difficult. I realized that if I can stop smoking, honey, I can do anything!!! Well, that is until I tried to do pilates! :p Think I need more than just confidence to get through those exercises! Since I quit, I seemed to have slowed down a bit. I don't hurry through anything. It took me an hour to type these sentences :). It's nice, when you have some time to kill(waiting for my son to be done with one thing and waiting to drive him to the next) to enjoy those big cozy chairs inside of Starbuck's inside of sitting outside, no matter what the weather is like, just to smoke !!! Also, it's nice to go to bed when I'm tired instead of saying to myself "one more, one more...."
