Finally, a way to deal with (a lot of!) my anger.

Hi Guys, Tonight was my first night at the gym as well. The one I attend also deals with weight loss. I now have to keep track of everything I eat. What a joy. :p Instead of smoking after dinner, I get to fill in my log. Can you believe the nerve of the women. She fused at me about my sunflower seeds. I think my response was not so nice. I told her with seven days under my belt, I was gone to keep the seeds and maybe lose the gym. I informed her that quitting was more important to me at this point. I guess I am still at the cranky stage. Oh well, thanks for letting me vent a little. It has not been one of my better days. I am soooo sore from the gym. Keep me posted on how your exercise program is working. I am quitting with the help of a local thing called "Quit n Fit" run through our local sports centre. We go along to weekly meetings, get to chat, get prescriptions for our choice of NRT and after an induction session, can have 12 weeks free use of the facilities. Whether that's the fitness suite, pool etc. This morning was my induction for the gym. Never been at the gym in my life before and had I not been such a cranky cow over the last X days, I doubt if I'd have gone today. BUT, I have been feeling soooooooo rough/crawly/cranky/grizzly/hungry, I had to do SOMETHING! I am here to tell you officially that I am UNfit! lol. I thought my legs were going to buckle on that stair machine thingy. But I DID it. And I felt soooo much better afterwards, that I went back along tonight and did the aqua gym induction too and followed it up with a short swim. Exercise works. it really, really, does. Tonight was the first time I actually started to feel better. To feel like my old self for waay back - with a spring in my step. Tonight I start the exercising too. Unfit here as well. Know it will help with the blahs, anger, etc. You're doing great. serenity, Thanks for sharing and this is a great way to help you through your quit. What a great incentive! Take it easy and work your way up to a program that is right for you. Ask lots of questions and let them help you with a fitness program that works for your body. We look forward to hearing your results :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
