Gonna, I'm so very happy for you....Your first smoke free x-mas!! That is just fantastic. Your holiday sounded a like like mine...entertaining both sides...lot's of cooking and cleaning...the day after x-mas...I collapsed and was exhausted, but smoke free. So cheers to you and everyone else who made it through the holidays intact. P.S. I think your appliances text messaged my hot water heater...it went out this morning....cold shower's don't put me in a very good mood..LOL Kaiti My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 51 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,139 Amount Saved: $280.5 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 13 Mins: 34 Seconds: 34

Hi Gonna - I just wanted to say that 110 days is amazing BUT new duct work and a heat pump are not very good rewards. I think you better come up with some new ones. On the other hand, pitching the iron and going out wrinkles and all sounds kinda good to me. (P.S. If you start talking to your appliances, it may mean that you are taking too much Chantix!!) Congrats on your smoke-free Christmas! Nice work, Gonna. You made it through Christmas smoke free, hectic as it was!!!! Now I know it can be done! Glad you were able to spend time with your daughter. Family is important. I'm surprised crews would clean ducts on Boxing Day though. Isn't it a holiday for you? Next year I FULLY intend for my Christmas to be smoke free! Gonna, Up here we can take all the money we save(or will save) on cigarettes and blow it all at the Boxing Day sales. Every store you go in has something on sale. And your right, another day off of work, (exept if you work in a store!). All these years I thought Boxing Day was celebrated in the U.S. as well. Learn something new every day. 2 days to go!!!! NOPE, I stand corrected. It is a present day tradition where people in England, Canada... give presents to their service people such as mailman, newpaper guy .... the day after Christmas. I sure Mr. Ed will be able to explain the tradition.

Gonna I think this was an English tradition where the employees brought in a box to their employers the day after Christmas. The employer would place a bonus check or cash into the box for each employee.
