Blew my quit 2

17 years ago 0 2436 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Den, It's so important to take the lessons and strengthen the Quit... Go deeper - why did you light up ~ and what will you do this time to NOT light that cigarette? You will see people smoking often I imagine... Protect YOUR Quit with everything in you - at all times! Go deep - get grounded in your Quit. Make sure to build your toolbox of coping skills to call on. You must want to Quit more than you want to light up... If that's the truth for you ~ just carry N.O.P.E. (not one puff ever) in your back pocket, and you're done! I'm discouraged but hopeful that I can get it through my head that this is a possible challenge. I'm starting fresh Monday and plan to succeed this time for sure. I'm not quite sure how it happened but I think I kept seeing people content with teir smoking and it didn't seem to bother them so I wondered if I wasn't over reacting to this addiction. Obviously it was the addition speaking and it fooled me this time. Tomorrow I start anew. And once again I request your support with my quit although I no its up to me. My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/24/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Den, Quitting is possible. Refuse to let the addiction control you any longer. You have the strength you need to take your life back. Take one step at a time. Learn all you can about the addiction and quitting. Read, read, read and post, post, post. Take deep breaths and drink a lot of water. You can do it! Hey Den- You can do it. This is quit 3 for me, and my final one. I think the difference this time is that my mind set was sooooo different and I decided to do for me. Just make up your mind. Everything we do in life is a choice...you choose if you smoke or not. You can do it. Stay close to the site. Den, quitting smoking would be much easier if you are prepared. As mentioned above, this wonderful site has put in place things that can tweak your mind toward a successful quit. Your seeing others smoking amused me in a way. When I had first quit I could spot a smoker a mile away. Frankly, I spot more than I realized were smoking around me. Then the cough..aah yes, the infamous cough. I hear it now and feel so sad for those who have not seen the light and are pushing their luck on COPD. My son-in-law works in respitory at the local hospital. He tells me stories you do not want to hear. Now...Just Do It! You have got this huge group here pulling for you. And by the way, we all went through it so it can be done.
