Depression - Part of the ride or growing pains

Windy, Very normal. Many have felt the same. This addiction has been a big part of your life and now it's time to move into a brighter future without it. Start small. Just try to get back into your normal routine. Once you feel comfortable and have a little more energy, start going out and exploring your new smoke free world. Your quit is still young, take your time and keep being kind to yourself. Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi, Windy. Yep, what you're experiencing is normal for the second week quit. The first week wore you out. You were "up" all the time. Now you don't need to be, you're relaxing some, and noticing how tired you are. Plus the depressive effects of nicotine deprevation are emerging to the forefront. Right now, you need fun distractions and rewards. Pitty parties are okay, so long as they are short. Socializing would probably help a lot, so long as it does not involve temptations to smoke. Congratulations on 12 smoke-free days, Windy. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 488 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,773 Amount Saved: $1854.4 Life Gained: Days: 91 Hrs: 2 Mins: 30 Seconds: 48
