Hi, Sparky.
Don't feel like a failure. You are here and you still want to quit. That is not failure, my friend. That is someone still looking for the right path.
Slips and relapses happen in the world of addiction recovery. It's a natural fact. Not one we encourage, of course, but they do happen and are nothing to beat yourself up over.
Are you back to smoking as before, or are you trying your best to hold it to a bare minimum? If the latter, then you are probably in a constant state of partial withdrawal and that is what is causing the depression. Just a guess on my part, but I have experienced partial withdrawal when I tried cutting back before my quit and I'm here to tell you it was a bear.
If you miss the interaction here, then interact! :) There's nothing wrong with that, even if you aren't quit yet. You're trying, that's close enough for right now. Okay?
Come on Sparky. Let's kick some demon butt. :eg:
