I echo cyber's comments about the patches. We have hear every reason on earth to either use or not use the patch. The majority of them half baked in my view. i.e.-
1. To come up with the money for patches for my spouse and I would be something we could not do. Yet, that individual was purchasing 4-5 packs aday of cigarette.
2. I would never use the patch. Why, I'll tell you why...when I quit I want to be quit. Keeping the nicotine entering my body for weeks after the start is foolhearty. Yet, they smoked for 30-40 years.
3. The patch gives me nightmares. In my case, I took it off at bed time and put it on the moment I arose the next morning.
4. I am going to tuff it out. Experts tell us that the use of patches incrases your success by 4 times. Hundreds more upon request.
Now, concerning the patch sticking. I was in a cessation class with a roofer. This is Florida and the temps are often in the high 90's. Thus, perpiration was a real problem for him. Now you might laugh, however he broke a 4 pack a day habit with the patch. He actually used Duct Tape to hold the patch in place. Think about it.
I encourage you to look at those before you and the success others have had. Think of the NRT's as a blessing if you need them. I sure did.
Thanks for reading this.
