SJ,
You have ABSOLUTELY made the right choice and coming here will help tremendously. Being scared is normal because it is such a big change. Make a list of positive reasons of why quitting will be GOOD. Think of all the things that you'll be happy about because of your decision and if possible let yourself get excited about the new non-smoking life you are choosing.
Also, as the others said read as much as you can because the more you plan the less fear you'll have. You are never alone in this. We have all experienced the ups and downs in quitting and you can do this too!
The health benefits of quitting while you are young are tremendous. The freedom you'll be giving back to yourself (not to mention the $) is indescribable.
Stay close and look forward to the new you! ;)
