You have to want to quit for you, not for saving your marriage. You already quit for 3 1/2 years...you know you can do it again. I suggest that you do an inventory...what made you start back after so long? Had you been thinking about it and you finally gave in? Did it happen during a stressful moment? Were you with someone who smokes and you just bummed one? Whatever the cause, you have to look at that. And then, you have to just not smoke again. I don't think you should focus on forever...just don't smoke today. Then do it again tomorrow. Keep doing that. Promises are ... well, just promises. Don't grovel, plead, negotiate or beg. Just don't smoke.
