Feel good, but I know Nicodemon is sneaky

That is great. The nicotine is out of your system. There are still 4,000 other chemicals that are leaving your body. And the body takes time to heal, but at least the addictive drug is out of you. That is great! Now it is time to get to work on mental aspect of quitting. Celebrate your success. Rewards are very important. Bgaineshunter, Keep persevering! 12 days is great progress! Don't forget to reward yourself when this craving passes and keep distracting yourself until it does! Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team

bgaineshunter, Are you using an NRT? Many quitters have felt just as you do now, you're still early in your quit and this normal. Click here and here for ideas on how to distract yourself and here for tips from members After you've read through these threads, come up with an emergency coping plan with various solutions for varying degrees of cravings. Don't forget to include an accompanying reward system into this plan! You won't give in if you get something better than a nicotine fix. Keep browsing through our forums, especially in our avoiding relapse section. Keep persevering, Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi, Bgaineshunter. That's just junkie thinking. Don't listen to the junkie, it lies like a rug! Reason the thinking out. If smoking were so good, then why'd you quit in the first place? That person that slipped is deep into denial. Don't go there. The reality is that if you relapse you'll have to go through withdrawals again. You say smelling smoke now makes you sick. Again, reason through the junkie babble. If smoking was so good, then why does the smoke make you sick? Don't be scared, Bgaineshunter. You are in control, not the junkie.
