Hello nonsmoking new-found friends! I used to smoke a pack a day, sometimes more if I was bowling or out with friends in a bar, once I remember smoking 2 packs - my daily pack plus another while out!! I was NEVER going to quit smoking and have never tried to quit, and have found that it is much easier than I thought! I have my days when I'm stressing about something - whether it's work or the family, but haven't given in. And I find it hard to believe that I have gone as long as I have without smoking!! I think also that I wished I would have quit sooner, being a smoker for 22+ years, I used to smoke in high school, then quit when I got married and had kids, as my husband didn't (doesn't smoke), but then I started when I went to work, and started smoking not very many, but as my workload got heavier and family got busier, I was smoking more and more. I think I was always afraid to quit, afraid of being a failure. And to keep on track I use ALOT of self talk, TRY to eat healthy snacks - course like everyone else have gained about 15-20 pounds, but it's ok, I'll work on getting that off!! Like everyone else, I can only deal with one life changing habit at a time! Ok, thats all! I love this site also - it has been very helpful! To all - keep up the good work!! LBZee
