Thanks to all that have replied to my post. I'm doing okay. I thought cold turkey would be rough, but it is a lot eaiser on day one than with all the other stuff I have tried, ie, patches, gum, zyban, and smoke away. I was always afraid to try cold turkey, but this seems okay for today. Only time will tell, but for today I am a non-smoker :) And for that I am grateful. Hi, I am on day one. I am not looking back at my other attempts; I looking towards a final quit. I have been reading and looking at where I went astray and found that I can not do this alone and I have to understand that it took me 50 years of smoking to get to this point and it will not disappear in a few days or weeks. What I do know is if I do not smoke I will be free and a non smoker. So what I am doing it looking at this as a celebration instead of poor me excuse. Hope every one is doing well and look forward to a new life and moment at a time.
