Welcome back, Pam. :) Remember an IM conversation we had some time ago where I was telling you about before I quit? When I would try to delay having a cig, then just sort of switched onto autopilot, went out and smoked? I had no control over myself? You thought it was weird and didn't really believe me? Guess what? Welcome to the club. ;) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 427 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,553 Amount Saved: $1622.6 Life Gained: Days: 79 Hrs: 17 Mins: 19 Seconds: 6

Wow Pam. Very scary. And very wise of you to figure out what you need and why. Welcome Back. Interesting - us oldies often think that we are here just to help the newbies and pass on the wisdom and the favors that were passed on to us. It is important to realize that being here also fulfills a need that WE have to strengthen our resolve. Thank you for sharing this. Pam thank you very much for sharing this with us. You hit on so many good points and part of helping others is giving of yourself without reserves. You are an example of how the quit really goes. One day up and one day fighing the war. I hope you find yourself again and begin to enjoy the many rewards of being a non smoker. Joe and I have in the past yelled and shouted at you, yet I think you knew where we were coming from. It was part of the accountability you were talking about in your post. You have so much to give to this site and its members. One thing that keeps me here after all this time is watching "all my children" grow into leaders and become the fore front in this war on addiction. Keep your chin up, keep that sparkle in your eye, continue to bless us all with your sage advise and I hope to see you at the top of the mountain.
